The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a group of international educators whose aim is to awaken the natural intelligence of all students to recognize the relationships between the subjects they study in school and the world in which they live, and to foster a better understanding and respect for people of other cultures.

The Summit Academy is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and a comprehensive public school located in the Mesa Public School District in Mesa, Arizona as well as a member of the Arizona International Baccalaureate Schools Association. The Summit Academy offers grades K through 6 of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), as well as grades 7 through 8 of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the IB curriculum. For further MYP questions please ask to speak to our IB Coordinator or click here.

Philosophy

The philosophy of the Summit Academy is to develop lifelong learners who will become productive and responsible citizens of our global society by providing a comprehensive, challenging Programme of studies with an international perspective. The Summit Academy creates an atmosphere where students are taught to be self-aware and compassionate individuals who respect diversity in all of its forms.
